Rapunzel
Best Family Arts Activity Nominee
“A great show and expert weaving of the multi-generational cast. Was brilliant to see the amazing dancing and parents and their kids in it.” – Audience member
balletLORENT’s tour of Rapunzel, retold by Carol Ann Duffy, toured six venues in England in 2022-23; Perfect for family audiences aged 5 years+.
Its eight dancers joined a community cast of 10 children (aged 7-10yrs) and three professional dance artists who are parents, accompanied by their young babies, to perform together. The performances used recycled sets and costumes to illustrate efforts towards becoming more sustainable and included narration to increase accessibility for a wider range of audiences.
