Highly Sprung are the UK’s leading physical theatre company working for and with children and young people. They create award-winning outdoor and indoor performances that tell stories through movement, gesture and dance. Stories that are inspired by humanity, science, and the complex world around us. Every piece they make is original and devised by young people and their core team of artists and writers.

Highly Sprung are known for renowned performances: CastAway and Urban Astronaut, which have toured to over 40 venues and festivals internationally. This sits alongside family theatre such as Grow, Storm, and Up, Up & Away – immersive, family friendly performances designed for early years and primary school aged children.

They run award-winning education projects and resources in primary and secondary schools, and have been recognised nationally for their impact as they use creativity to address key curriculum areas. They run weekly performance workshops for ages 4-19 in Coventry, and produce a range of interactive, family-friendly arts events and offerings.

Highly Sprung lead the Physical Fellowship, the UK’s only physical theatre festival exclusively for young people. The festival provides transformative training and performance opportunities for 400 students each year, empowering them to discover their own voice.
