2022 Awards Winner

30 Stories of Family Arts:
Halpern Charitable Foundation | Nucleus Arts

Usually, palaces are large, lavish places housing rulers of the land. But the Medway Fun Palace 2021 is a wonderland of activities carried on over several sites that anyone can be a part of.

Medway 2021 was the biggest Fun Palace yet! An arts/sciences event, this celebration is all about working together, creating, having fun, making, and nurturing relationships. Guided by local scientists and artists, their beneficiaries, aged 5-80, designed, created, and presented interactive fun to families, including greenscreen photography, radio DJ-ing, science experiments and digital art.

Nucleus Arts is the flagship arts organisation founded by the Halpern Charitable Foundation. Halpern’s goals are to inspire and transform the lives of people in Medway and Kent by championing the creativity in everyone, including those living with a range of disadvantage and challenges. They achieve this by enabling people to re-connect with their aspirations, develop professional skills, stay well, and improve their quality of life through the application of creativity.
