30 Stories of Family Arts:
Collar & Cuffs Co

Toddington Village Sensory Trails provided a year-long programme of free sensory, inclusive, and socially distanced outdoor activities for their local rural village community using low-cost/no-cost resources. The activities encouraged walking for wellbeing, creative engagement with local green/nature spaces, and were intergenerational and accessible for people with complex needs.

The programme provided opportunities for safe play, engagement and connection, and enabled families to learn ideas they could use at home.

Collar & Cuffs Co was established by Julia Collar in 2016 as an inclusive sensory theatre and arts company developing work for early years children and people of all ages with complex needs, including PMLD, predominantly on topics exploring emotional development, mental health, and wellbeing.
