30 Stories of Family Arts:
Tourette Scotland
Tourette’s is a misunderstood condition, which drives those with it and their families into isolation. Living With You was created to give families living with Tourette’s the chance to tell their stories and see their lives truthfully portrayed.
By involving a professional storyteller and writer, Tourette Scotland were able to engage in a creative, sympathetic way with the participants. They used professional actors and videographers to reflect these stories back to families in their community in an engaging, affirming and inspiring way.
Tourette Scotland is a charity registered in Scotland. Since 1994, they have conducted research, devised training and worked with their members to educate the wider community, raising awareness of this very misunderstood condition.
Tourette Scotland has been shortlisted for the Audience Impact & Innovation Award in the 2022 Fantastic for Families Awards. Winners will be announced on 16 November 2022 in the free online awards ceremony.
