Cumbria Family Arts Network

Cumbria Family Arts Network (CFAN) represents a broad church of exciting artistic energy, paired with a grassroot community focus. Primarily focused on the West Coast, home to England’s second largest county. Our reach of arts and non-arts organisations throughout our 3-year ambassador programme, aims to collectively inspire, provoke conversation and partnerships to reach those families most in need.

Members

From theatres to community centres, to museums and libraries, our membership welcomes a vast range of organisations, and with that, its own set of invaluable insights and resources to our ever-growing network family. Unique lessons from collective partnerships and established narratives are most essential in such a large and at times rural area.

Lockdown Collaborations

Although 2020 and its lockdowns abruptly halted our network plans, this did present new opportunities, including partnering with North Lakes Foodbank to produce family creative packs to those most in need, also connecting our network members to 50 new local families.

Shared Resources

Meetings with organisation members are invaluable to us to learn further about the organisations that families engage with in Cumbria: listening and learning about the strengths of network organisations, and moreover, the connections and resources that can be shared to grow and refine our network.
