Thank you to those who attended and took part in our recent webinar on inclusive practice for families in outdoor arts and events.
In this webinar, Alex Covell, Access Producer for FESTIVAL.ORG, shared practical tools and information for event organisers about inclusive practices for families when working with Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent audiences and artists.
Following the successful experience of a COVID-secure 2020 edition of Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Alex explored this as a case study for future events and shared examples of how the festival trialled and adapted new ways to build accessible practice within the identity of their work.

Alex Covell is a passionate advocate and ally of disabled and neurodivergent artists.
Alex is skilled in developing bespoke inclusive and accessible practice for outdoor arts and performance events. Alex works at FESTIVAL.ORG as the Access Producer for events including Greenwich+Docklands International Festival and as lead Access Officer for the Without Walls Network. Recently, she has worked on Greenwich Dance’s new ArtsUnboxed project devising inclusive touring arts performance ideas.
